Since I havent written anything over the past few months, I will talk at length about the best thing to happen to me and this city in a long time.
The New Orleans Saints. I know, kinda weird to hear huh. Try this....
The World Champion New Orleans Saints.....now thats strange, but true.
I have witnessed two events that have truly changed my life in the past 2 years: Obama winning and the Saints winning the Superbowl. Im also that I called both of them well before anyone though they had a chance.
The Saints won the Superbowl last April when they signed Greg Williams (defensive coordinator), Darren Sharper (safety), and drafted Malcolm Jenkins. I knew then that this team would win the Superbowl.
I was lucky enough to attend the first game and watch the leagues best QB (screw u Peyton) throw 6 TD passes. I watched Reggie Bush, who for me beside Brees is the key to the offense, jump 6 yds for a TD against the Dolphins. **side note** Get a tape measure and lay that out....its a ridicuolously far length. I almost threw up during the Vikings game....but i have never seen such a beautiful city with greater people as i have after that game.
This city is back...but we didnt need a football team to tell us.
We needed a football team, to tell the rest of the world.
